| What does one do at these tea parties? Well, you socialize with your favorite Lolita pals over your choice of flavored teas or rich coffees, along with a pleasing assortment of small sandwiches, cookies and sweet pastries, and last but not least, you get to strut your stuff in your favorite Lolita wear! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Victorian ladies had tea each afternoon, but on special occasions, they would invite their friends and have an extra elegant tea. One way to make your tea party extra special is to have a theme. This is the chance to use your imagination! Be creative! Use a whimsical or unique tea service, we will use our frog tea set, as an example. Green napkins cut into lily pad shapes would extend the theme. Cattails, irises and a few reeds would make the perfect centerpiece and also adds to the theme. Butterfly or flower shaped cookies could be served. Again, use your imagination! Come up with your own theme and adapt your table decor to set the mood for teatime fun! Bake, or buy ;) some cookies - put on your favorite Lolita outfit and invite your friends over.
