A pretty fairy doll picture was used to create our Flower Fairy costume. Our customer wanted a fairy costume for her little girl - designed to look like the dress above, with more layers of petals. She wanted the colors changed to blue and purple. She also wanted a touch of yellow. The yellow was added with the use of daffodils and daisies in the sweet covered headband - headpiece. Petal shapes in the same material and style as the skirt were used in the headpiece. A touch of yellow was also added to the wing decorations. The wings are wired and covered with a gauzy, see-through material. The material was then painted with fabric paints in colors to match and accentuate the dress. This outfit comes with a matching, sparkle covered belt. The dress features a sequined covered material at the bodice. The first layer of petals is a silver glitter studded satin. The purple layer is a soft silky material. The bottom layer is a see-thru light purple studded with sparkles. More views of this cute costume are available in the Costume Gallery. This style may be customized as to shape and color - per your desires. A costume like this one would cost $70. |
The light-weight decorated wings are detachable. The sparkly belt is also removable, attaching to itself in the back with velcro. The purple used in the bottom of the dress was used to create the belt. This was then covered with a see thru, sequined covered aqua ribbon trim. |
This picture of Queen Serenity, from Sailor Moon, was used to create the dress on the right. This dress was fashioned from white wedding satin and hand appliqued gold lame for the decoration at the top of the bodice. Two rows of pearl trim also encircle the bodice. The wings have a stiffener inside them - no wires to break or bend. The wings are covered with a soft pink satin. The lower part of the wings were fashioned from a see-through pink gauzy material with a bit of a shine. This light-weight fabric flows freely, as it should! This dress features channels for ties at the top and bottom of the bodice. Our customer requested these as she wanted to make sure the dress stayed up. The ties were adapted to go through holes in the wings so that they not only ensure that the dress stays up, they also attach the wings. | For close-ups of the wings, bodice and all of the details, please visit the Costume Gallery. The price for your own Queen Serenity dress and wings is $170. If you would prefer the wings to be wired and lighter - we can do that at no extra charge. |
Using these two pictures, along with a few more like them, the costume at the right was created. The customer did not want the puffy shoulders, however. The dress was fashioned from a white, heavier weight knit. The yellow banner is a silky material, while a bright pink suede-like material was used for the 'flames'. The dress is edged in a soft sueded blue material. This material also makes up the garters which are attached to the dress. They feature a silver lame rectangle adornment on each of them. The silver lame is also used along with black topstitching to create the cuff decorations. The bright pink sueded bodice extends around the back, just like Himeno's in the above diagram. The pink was also used on the outside of the cape, along with a sueded orange. The cape has attached D-rings, which are threaded with the unique velcro dress attachement. The attachements are a light lavender - per the diagram. This costume includes the pink and green decorations for our customer's awesome thigh high boots, which are secured with double-faced tape. Her pretty pink gloves are sewn out of a soft, stretchy velour. This costume also includes Himeno's tiara. A stiff inner core, cut to the shape of Himeno's crown, was covered with silver and gold lame in two separate layers to give the appropriate dimension of the crown. A shiny jewel was added - all attached to a silver headband. Pieces for this costume are priced as follows: Dress with attached garters and the cape $125 - Crown $20 - Gloves $20 If you cannot find tall enough boots, as this customer's were a bit short - white leggings to extend your boot can be made at no extra charge. The shoe decorations are also included with the dress at no charge. |

Our replica of the Sora in Halloween Town from Kingdom Hearts II was based more so on the picture on the right. As there were no legs in the right hand pic, we used the one on the left for the gloves, leg wraps and the shoe covers. This complicated costume includes 10 separate elements - Yoked jacket, shirt, pants, belt, wings, mask, gloves, 2-leg wraps, shoe covers and the winged crown pin. Many more pictures and close- ups of this costume are available for viewing in the Costume Gallery. The yoked jacket features hand-applique and is fully lined. The yoke itself is a very soft off-white material with a bit of nap (like velveteen). The shirt is a breezy material - cool enough for conventioneering. It features velcro 'buttons' under the zig-zag trimmed section. The pants have a fly and side pockets, just like jeans, with a velcro closure. The pants poof out a bit and come back in at the knee. The crown pin was created from sculpy, with a backing for strength and pin backs were added for attachment to the jacket. The mask was hand-drawn and colored, using water colors, colored pencils and a sharpy. The mask was 'sealed' against moisture, to a degree, with a coating of clear acrylic spray. The wings were created from vinyl, foam, wire, a velvet ribbon edge and a little paint ;) These wings can be bent into the proper 3-D shape to look just like Sora's. The shoe covers are from the same material as the pants and jacket - a medium weight black canvas type material. The gloves are from the same soft white as the stripes on the shoes, with soft gray x's from the same material as the jacket's applique. The leg wrappings feature velcro at the beginning and end of the long strips. These are fastened right above the knee - they are then wrapped around the legs, just like Sora's - and fastened again at the ankles. |

Our customer sent in these two pictures of Mamimi from FLCL. As we could not find a large plaid that was like Mamimi's, we chose to 'make' the plaid using bias tape. The material 'tape' is then sewn on in the appropriate pattern. This costume consists of the knife-pleated plaid skirt, along with the blue jacket featuring the matching sailor collar. The inside of the jacket is fashioned from blue satin, which matches the purse to this outfit. The jacket features a front welt pocket on the outside, and two roomy and one smaller pocket inside. | The Mamimi costume costs $100 - if you want the purse/backpack included, the cost would be $130. Jacket or skirt alone would be $50 for either. |
This costume is a copy of the dress Machika wears in "Immortal Rain". The dress is fashioned from a medium weight knit fabric. The white is a lightweight knit, while the bright blue fabric is a shiny dancewear knit. The dress features the same yin-yang pattern, and neck adornment as on Machika's dress. This costume includes the dress, blue shorts, one short hand cover with a white cuff, one long blue hand and arm cover, one elbow guard, and two ankle covers. These are visible at the bottom of the back view picture. $95 is the price of a Machika costume like this. |

This costume was fashioned from silky, irridescent dancewear fabric to provide a bit of stretchy comfort for our customer. The pretty flowery underskirt is a good quality cotton. The black 3rd underskirt is added as a straight ruffle - one more layer of fabric would be a bit hot! It is fashioned from slinky silky material. Notice the five belts on Ai's back - these belts appear on our costume as well. The belts are adjustable and fully open for ease in donning this pretty dress. For front, back and sleeve close-up views of this dress see our Costume Gallery. $250.00 is the price of this Princess Ai dress.

For side, back views and close-ups of the finished gown, see the Costume Gallery. | This item was designed as a Lolita style nightgown, but as you can see, it would easily double as a jumper or a very sweet Lolita sundress. It is fashioned from soft cotton and yards and yards of lace! If made with cotton, the price of another dress like this - $85 |
| Working from this picture - the dress on the right was created. Based on this Misha from Pita Ten dress, the big purple pearl at the neckline was exchanged for a silvery and black Victorian style Gothic cross. The dress is made of black and white satin. A pearl button and loop are affixed to the back of the neck. The gauzy ruffled apron is a separate piece. For more views and close-ups of this sweet Gothic style dress - see our Costume Gallery. | This Chii Colonial style coat-dress was requested from a Chobit's fan. Here is the picture that was used to create the costume on the left. | This complicated coat/dress was sewn as a coat and a dress and then combined. The dress is made of white wedding satin, while the coat part is fashioned from ivory linen with a soft cotton peach colored lining. The peach lends a rosy hue to the ivory making it the perfect color for Chii. The dress features pleated ruffles on the hem, bodice and cuffs. White satin bows trim the back of the cuffs. The gray trim is a soft suede-like material. The "keyhole" trim on the front of the dress is made from the gray material with black linen underneath and sewn with a reverse applique technique. The price for another dress like this is $200. |
It features a full length, 2-way zipper - just like the coat in the picure above. This means it can be unzipped at the top and bottom, while remaining closed in the middle. This makes it easier to sit or drive while it is being worn. The coat has outside pockets like the first picture. (Look near the Japanese writing at the bottom of the top picture and you can see the flap.) Silver chain and silver colored beads were used to achieve the look of the embellishments of the costume picture. The "chain" is attached with clasps. This allows you to unhook one side to make it easy to put on - or remove both for washing. No need to dry clean. This coat is made of "trigger" cloth, which is a medium weight canvas type material. It is fully lined with a silky charcoal gray material.
This customer wanted a Ranma Saotome - in his fem form. She wanted the costume on the left, but preferred it be in red. She also liked the cap sleeves on the blouse. She liked the idea of the bow at right - but didn't want to wear it all the time. This costume consists of a chinese style blouse, drawstring pant, two pants ties and a unique belt featuring a detachable bow - giving two looks with one costume! As she is going to Otakon in August - she also hoped that it would be a "cool" costume. Best part of this costume? . . . it is machine washable! | The blouse features the cap sleeves, as requested. For coolness - the blouse is made of cotton. The frog closures are straight from Hong Kong! The pants are a medium weight linen type fabric that shouldn't be too hot. The ankle - pants ties are fashioned from a soft black cotton webbing and are fastened with velcro. The ingenious belt that allows two looks from one costume has a snap on bow. When you don't want the bow - simply unsnap it - turn the belt inside out - and you are good to go! $100 will buy you a costume just like this one. |
This customer requested a Belldandy outfit in the richer colors of the last picture. She requested the headpiece in the first picture, but wanted the dress more like the second picture. She also wanted her necklace to look as though it were made of copper. The necklace was fashioned from roll copper, tiny windchimes, and lined with velvet adhesive paper for comfort. | This intricate costume consists of a white dress, a sleeveless overcoat with jewel, a headpiece, a "copper" necklace, a "golden" belt, a detachable white cape, two long hand/arm covers, and two footies complete with attached "gold" ankle bracelet. As this costume consists of 10 pieces and is quite a bit of hand work - the cost for a costume like this one is $250. |
